In alignment with the Arts Facet Strategic Plan, the annual ‘Art About Us and By Us’ program increases participants’ awareness of visual and performance arts through arts education and community involvement. In 2015, this Integrated Program was recognized by the Southern Area of the Links, incorporated as a Best Practice based on peer review.

The Links Educational Arts Program – LEAP, was developed to create a safe and nurturing environment for students of the African diaspora, in Palm Beach County, that facilitates and promotes artistic discovery while instilling confidence in their artistic capability. LEAP is committed to increasing and expanding art activities for students of the African diaspora and/or the under-served student to matriculate through the Palm Beach County School of the Arts programs. LEAP consists a 6 week preparatory sessions focused on students who already exhibit a keen eye for visual arts but may need supplemental coaching and instruction to hone their capabilities as well as 4 week intensive audition preparatory sessions. Students are selected from community partner schools within Palm Beach County. The program is focused on art exploration through creative exercises, still life drawing and sculpture while infusing digital literacy, science, math and reading components. The instruction is intended to supplement preparation for the audition process for 3rd, and 4th grade students leading into their 5th grade audition year for a middle school arts program. This program is presented in partnership with The West Palm Beach (FL) Chapter of the Links, Inc. and The Tabernacle Learning Center at the U.B. Kinsey Educational and Community Center.
